LifeGas is currently seeking a Medical Sales Specialist to join the team in the Indianapolis, Indiana area.
Selling medical bulk & cylinder gases and services to the hospital marketplace by identifying customers need(s), positioning and differentiating our healthcare offering, negotiating long term contracts 5-10 years, and partnering with customer on respiratory, safety, engineering, and logistic solutions.
Maintains regular communications with current customers to increase the Companys provided services, including safety and product training, and positions the customer to renew and extend existing contracts.
Maintains file and database of customer prospects, and establishes regular communication channels to obtain prospective customers contractual expiration dates, to develop a business plan which accomplishes new customer quota and revenue objectives.
Coordinates delivery of sold product(s) and continuing support after the sale. Negotiates and administers future price adjustments to maintain margin, defines appropriate call frequency to maintain our position as a solutions provider, and arranges for collection of monies when necessary, renewing and extending existing contracts.
Provides assistance to customers by demonstrating various medical gas equipment and answering questions relating to the operation and maintenance of equipment. Assists in developing applications solutions as necessary.
Maintains professional growth by participating on networking teams and in educational programs and activities to maintain a knowledge of national trends and to promote leading-edge expertise within the Company.
Performs other duties as assigned to build our healthcare platform.
Bachelors degree in sales/marketing/business/engineering or equivalent work experience. Ability to grasp science, chemical and engineering principles.
Minimum (3) three years sales experience in the medical gas or hospital industry, or related territory sales experience.
Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for the purpose of influencing and persuading others to a recommended course of action based on analysis of information.
Demonstrates a clear and succinct writing style for the purpose of preparing presentations for internal and external distribution and for making sales proposals to potential customers.
Ability to formally present to multifunctional teams, engineering, purchasing, respiratory, and executive level, as well as coordinate and lead national account activities for the specific geography & growth.
Maintains a business plan for targeting and measuring interim and long term initiatives and results.
Works in a traveling sales capacity with 60% travel; covering the geography of Indiana, S. Illinois, and Missouri.
