In 2008 and beyond BOC, part of The Linde Group, intend to undertake the following actions:
- Support an ongoing Matched Giving scheme
- Continue to support and sponsor the BOC/NEPIC environment award for business
- Support ongoing initiatives in the area of sustainable energy, focusing primarily on hydrogen energy and fuel cells
- Continue with the 'Inspiring Gases' programme and 'It's a Gas' roadshows at educational establishments
- Continue to support the annual Salter's Festival of Chemistry
- Continue to support the Council for Industry and Higher Education
- Continue support for Children Challenging Industry
- Continue with the BOC campus managers’ network
- Continue support for the Surrey Scholars Club
- Continue support for Surrey County Council’s young entrepreneur scheme and the related “Gases Challenge”
- Continue with membership of STEM high level strategy (Industry education group)
- Continue to sponsor the ETITB Awards at Surrey University
- Contnue working with the organisation Business In The Community who will help us to target relevant educational, community and environmental activities
