Where is my first placement likely to be located?
All of the Graduate Schemes require you to be fully mobile to travel to any BOC site in the UK. You could therefore be based at any one of the following locations (although this is not a definitive list): Margam, Glasgow, Fawley, Middlesbrough, Windlesham, Guildford, Bristol, Morden, Wolverhampton, Brinsworth, Leeds, Manchester, Immingham and Crawley.
What is the starting salary at BOC?
BOC offers a competitive pay, benefits, and progression package when compared with current market place data. The package includes starting salaries of £22,000 (Engineering) and £23,000 (Finance), relocation allowance, 6 monthly salary reviews, Retirement Savings Plan and 25 days annual holiday.
How long will I stay in each role?
The duration of each placement will depend upon which Scheme you join, but generally they last about 12 months.
What minimum qualifications to BOC require?
We consider each application against a variety of selection criteria including Degree subject and result obtained/ expected, ‘A’ Level subjects and results obtained, work experience, involvement in extra curricular activities and responses to our competency based questions. However, whilst academic results are important to us, so is your performance throughout our recruitment and selection process.
Do BOC consider applications from graduates requiring UK work permits?
Unfortunately BOC do not sponsor work permit applications for graduate applicants.
Can I obtain feedback on my application?
Due to the high volume of applications we receive for our Graduate Schemes, we are unable to give individual feedback as to why you have not been successful. However, if you are invited to attend one of our assessment centres, we will be happy to verbally provide feedback at that time.
