BOC Healthcare are now seeking applicants for the role of Account Manager HospitalcareReporting to the Hospitalcare Sales Manager North, the successful applicant will have responsibility for the following:
Maximise BOC's market share in the Hospital, Community and Private Healthcare sectors by developing relationships with key decision-makers and successfully negotiating supply contracts. (in conjunction with Homecare & Healthcare Business Managers)
Grow medical gas revenues at each institution by supporting BOC's Clinical Specialist in developing clinical contacts, which will provide a platform for creating awareness of the clinical benefits and best practice applications of key medical gases, equipment and services.
The position covers a wide geography, which will result in extensive travelling and overnight stays,
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Identify decision-making units within Healthcare providers, and related bodies. Ensure that appropriate relationships are established and fostered.
Identify competitive activity as well as other potential threats or opportunities.
Handle objections, ease concerns about supply failure or administrative errors.
Develop a strategic understanding of each account, identify key programmes to ensure retention of the account and its growth through clinical selling.
Negotiate profitable supply and service contracts with Healthcare providers and related bodies either by direct negotiation or tender process.
Provide first line engineering support regarding medical gas systems.
Identify opportunities to extend the BOC offer via new products or services, such as Facilities Management, Training, etc.
Promote sales of Lifeline packages and Medical Equipment
Candidates will be able to demonstrate;
Applicants must be capable of influencing customers through the use of persuasive arguments that accurately take account of customer's specific needs.
Ideally, they should possess knowledge of a wide range of subjects, including hospital engineering and the clinical and practical applications for medical gases, services and equipment. This knowledge should be at a high level and constantly updated e.g. as new clinical applications emerge.
Previous experience in a Medical environment would be an advantage.
