 Job Description 
   
 
Job Title: Production Adminstrator

Purpose of the position

To support the production and distribution of special gases at the Immingham site by:

— Scheduling deliveries and collections of products.

— Preparing and processing documentation for UK and Export deliveries and raw material
collections.

— Processing customer orders and quotations, in support of the Guildford SP Sales Order Office.

— Operating the site Stores.

— Providing administrative support for waste management and customer product bank activities.

— Providing absence cover for Planners.

Principal Responsibilities

— Creating vehicle loads for daily deliveries and collections to/from UK customers, BOC UK
branches and Dublin and for other destinations on an occasional basis.

— Preparing and processing documentation for UK and Export deliveries and collection (delivery
notes, transport orders, address labels, loading lists, goods cover notes , Dangerous Goods
Notes).

— Processing customer orders (telephone, written, blanket, confirmation, amendments,
cancellations) and responding to queries and complaints.

— Processing customer quotations under the direction of the Commercial Manager.

— Working with customers, Planners, Operations, Transport, Sales, stocking branches, hauliers and
shipping lines as necessary to resolve problems in meeting customer delivery requirements.

— Reviewing daily branch stock returns, raising orders to meet requirements, taking action to make
best use of any product in short supply and reporting status information to the Supply Chain
Centre and to Sales.

— Issuing, receiving and shelving and replenishing Stores items (using SAP, credit card purchases
etc.).

— Monitoring stocks and usage of critical items and amending re-order points and re-order quantities accordingly.

— Conducting stock counts and completing stock reconciliation (min. 2 per year).

— Releasing and printing manufacturing orders and, under the direction of the Planners, creating and issuing daily production schedules.

— Processing transactions and records of movements of waste and banked product; preparing summary
information for use by competent persons.
