 Job Description 
   
 
We are currently looking to recruit a Project Manager into the IS team.

The purpose of this role is to deliver projects:
• to agreed budget, time scales, specification/quality and sponsor satisfaction
• to Linde IS project management methodology & standards
• using standard tools effectively
• ensuring full acceptance and ownership of the solution by all stakeholders.
• to support Business Consulting in the development of business cases for initiatives
• clarifying scope & objectives
• identifying potential solutions
• recommending an appropriate solution consistent with business and IS strategy
• providing robust costs and timescales to deliver the solution
• documenting any assumptions
• assessing change impact and potential risks.
• Work as part of a project and change management peer group to develop and improve Linde IS project methodology, standards and use of tools.

Key responsibilities include:
• To achieve the above through effective
• Understanding of the business objectives and benefits
• Analysis
• Planning and estimating
• Control of scope
• Monitoring and reporting to Steering team and senior management
• Management of internal and external resource groups and suppliers across multiple timezones
• Stakeholder management
• Risk management
• Handover to various support teams.
• Ability to learn from experiences and to share learnings.
• Maintain a sound knowledge of thinking and developments in the Project Management profession and suggest improvements to our function
• Maintain a sound knowledge of trends in the Information Technology market and how emerging technologies can benefit the Linde Group.

Key skills required for this role include:
• Experience/Proficient in use of a Project/Change Management Methodology
• Experience/Proficient in use of Project Management tools (estimating, planning, risk management, change management etc)
• Experience/Proficient in Business and systems analysis
• Ability to/Experience of managing internal and external resources effectively including remote workers.
• Understanding/Experience of delivering template solutions
• Ability/experience to manage a globally dispersed virtual project team of various cultures.

Key experience:
• General business experience
• Project/Change management experience - experience of delivering an initiative which involved an objective, analysis, scope definition, plan, resources & deliverables
• Understanding of change management tools & techniques
• Degree (desirable)
• Business and IT experience
• Experience of using a structured IT methodology & tools - full understanding and consistent use
• Track record of managing projects successfully - with full accountability
• Experience of full project lifecycle – project initiation through to project close
• Experience of a diverse range of projects (software development, change initiative, infrastructure, transition of services, acquisition/divestment etc)
