An opportunity has now arisen for a Infrastructure Services Manager within our UK & Ireland Business Services team based in our Guildford office.
The purpose & principle responsibilities of the position:
• To assist the Regional Service Manager in provision and delivery of personal computing and network services throughout the UK & Ireland
• Manage the regional delivery (via 3rd party management) of standard personal computing platforms and network solutions within the region (hardware, served-up applications, client applications, file/print, connectivity, client security, etc) based on Linde Group best-practice standards from our Enterprise Services organisation
• Responsible for achieving customer satisfaction and Service Levels and acting as an escalation point for service related issues
• Responsible for ensuring that all Personal Computing Services and network processes, procedures and standards are agreed, documented, communicated and implemented.
• Manage systems and asset management solutions for the Personal Computing and network area within the region (software distribution, remote control, inventory, licences, life-cycle, capacity management, etc)
• Manage and report on service delivery in line with service level agreements
• Understand and promote The Linde Group global technology standards
Required qualifications/skills/experience:
• ITIL Foundation or above (desired)
• Experience working with onshore and offshore outsource service providers and vendors would be a distinct advantage
• Experience at a management level in an organisation, with a proven track record of achievement
• 3-5 years in similar or related role in IS department
• Relevant education and/or practical experience
• Able to work independently and as a self-starter
• Excellent communications skills – both verbal and written
• Broad technical knowledge and demonstrable experience in the development and implementation of Personal Computing systems and network solutions
• Ability to be an effective team player and leader
• Knowledge and experience of project and programme management methodologies would be an advantage
