To procure items of plant, equipment and services through pre-negotiated detailed contracts.
Ensure plant and equipment is fully tested, commissioned and
handed over to the customer in accordance with the contract conditions. To compile and submit full Operations and Maintenance manuals
Participate in HAZOP Studies
To keep abreast of appropriate technological developments and new standards both within and outside of Linde Group / BOC.
Maintain awareness of safety regulations and industry codes of practice as they apply to BOC Applications activity.
To ensure full compliance with all safety regulations as specified by BOC, the statutory bodies and the customers requirements and take preventative action where necessary.
To explain, demonstrate and instruct customer personnel & BOC CES service engineers in correct and safe operation of BOC supplied equipment and technology.
Where specific customer needs have been identified - Designing and Developing innovative new gas systems equipment incorporating latest state of the art engineering technology.
Responding speedily and effectively to customer needs and problems.
3. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Broad based engineering background with acquired knowledge and experience of BOC applications engineering.
Familiarity with wide range of equipment/plant utilised in variety of process industries
Technical acumen to readily understand engineering specifications.
Experience in holding negotiations, discussions and presentations.
Knowledge of principles of mechanical, electrical, and chemical engineering and their impact on the design of systems / equipment.
AutoCAD user
Knowledge of principles of control and instrumentation and their impact on design of systems / equipment
