Engineering Stream

Our Engineering Stream is the perfect option for those looking to balance hands-on engineering work with business management, all within an engineering environment. Working in our Tonnage and/or Packaged Products functions, you will be heavily involved in managing the production of gases and plant sites. Gaining critical practical and vocational experience, you will enjoy the variety of getting your hands dirty on-site as well as having heavy involvement in design environments.

Below is just an example of the kind of work you could get involved in:

• Process design
• Plant commissioning
• Plant improvement projects
• Site based safety – process safety evaluation / improvements
• Plant operation
• Process support, troubleshooting
Development of engineering change documents
• Addressing actions arising from plant audits (safety, quality, environmental, engineering)
• Assisting with development of maintenance philosophy, spares strategies
• Shut down planning and execution

Having completed a business or engineering related degree, there’s no doubting your knowledge. However, we want more than someone who simply knows the handbook inside out.

Due to some of the customer-facing elements of the programme, we want strong, tenacious communicators. After all, what use is knowledge if you can’t articulate, discuss and debate? You will need to be open minded about the projects and areas you will work in; the whole point of the programme is it’s a journey of discovery.
