The Programme

Our Graduate Development Programme sets itself apart from other graduate programmes. Why? Because we provide you with real responsibilities, on real projects.

Due to the sheer size and scope of our business and the huge number of sectors we cover, you will find endless opportunities for learning.

You can choose one of the following three streams to specialise in, with the programme running across a 2-year period:

• Engineering
• Sales & Marketing & Customer Service
• Information Systems

The BOC Graduate Programme also offers graduates the opportunity to work for BOC subsidiary company Elgas within the Sales & Marketing or Engineering streams.

During your induction you will enjoy networking, an introduction to BOC life and have a designated mentor who will be on hand to support you throughout the programme. What’s more, you will be assigned a 'buddy' who will be there to help even prior to your start date.

In the two year programme you will have the opportunity to participate in a leadership development course, as well as ongoing training to further both your professional and personal skills.

Importantly the programme offers you versatility as you will be assigned rotational placements across Australia and New Zealand. Typically lasting 6-9 months, you will experience various facets of the business and because you will be working alongside industry experts, you will enjoy great networking opportunities in an enhanced learning environment. There may also be the opportunity for international travel – however this is dependant on business requirements and is therefore not guaranteed.

Our rotations have some flexibility, meaning you will benefit from a refreshingly versatile Programme, not just designed for you but in collaboration with you.

You will be surprised by just how hands-on our programme is. After all, we believe the best way to learn is to give you responsibility from day one and thanks to the support network that exists, there will always be someone willing to answer questions and offer a helping hand. In fact, you will find everything is in place to help you move forward in the business upon completing the programme.
