Linde Canada is currently seeking a Maintenance Manager Eastern Region to join the team in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, Quebec.
This position reports to the Area Operations Manager and is responsible of the Central Cylinder Maintenance Plant at St-Jean. The position is also responsible for building & equipment maintenance planning, coordination and purchasing activities for the eastern plants (St-Jean, Montreal, Quebec, Ottawa, Rouyn, and Moncton). Must maintain all legislated and Linde required documentation related to maintenance duties. Also responsible for implementing minor engineering changes, working as Technical expert for the site, performing risk assessments and Hazops, MOC and assisting plant supervision with technical changes for productivity gains while meeting Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality requirements.
The person must work independently while maintaining excellent relations with internal and external customers.
Cylinder Maintenance Team and Plant Maintenance technicians report to this position.
Job Responsibilities:
• Plan all maintenance activities for the sites and ensure timely implementation
• Provide direct leadership for maintenance employees
• Responsible and accountable managing his/her direct reports
• Help motivate team to reach productivity, safety, quality and service objectives through coaching and by using HPO's LeadSite tools (High Performance Organisation).
• Work with engineering on project design and installations for local plant
• Coordinate all parts ordering and inventory, interaction with suppliers and contractors for site
• Prepare work permits and oversee contractor safety program
• Assist with continuous improvement events for plants and assist with implementation of resulting actions
• Ensure Management of Change (MOC) program is adhered and executed.
• Perform hazard analysis, risk assessments as required
• Manage maintenance budget and ensure execution to plan
• Ensure all maintenance documentation is up to date and relevant SOX and Linde procedures are followed
• Implement strategic business initiatives related to equipment, plant design and maintenance
• Responsible of the cylinder maintenance activities and productivity objectives
• Travelling between Plants (St-Jean, Rouyn, Moncton, Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa)
Minimum Qualifications:
• University degree in Engineering with technical/mechanical or engineering focus
• 3-5 years work experience in a manufacturing environment preferably in maintenance planning
• Project engineering experience is an asset
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Bilingual
• Demonstrated team player
• Customer service focused
• Self motivated and works independently
• Proficiency in Microsoft office packages and PM software
• Knowledge of compressed gas products an asset
• MOC / SAP
• Risk Assessment and HAZOP
