We are currently seeking an Engineer to support our UK Food & Cryogenics customers working within our Applications Engineering team. Many of our team specialises are based at our site in Guildford and during the first two years within this role, you will be working under the guidance of our Senior Engineer. Therefore you should expect frequent travel to our site in Guildford site in your early years and be willing to travel, spending time away from home at our customers locations as they require.
You will be joining a highly skilled specialist team who focus on the design, supply and commissioning of applications equipment and associated control systems for installation at our customer’s premises throughout the UK, and will focus on cryogenic technologies aimed at customers in the Food and Industrial sectors.
This position will suit a commercially aware degree qualified Mechanical or Chemical Engineer, or qualified by experience.
This is a customer facing role and you will have experience in providing excellent customer service to our clients, many whom maybe Manufacturing managers within process industries.
Whilst experience of Refrigerants or Food industry would be highly desireable experience from an industrial processes environment will be considered.
The role is wide and varied and other aspects will include providing technical support to customers and colleagues within the Customer Engineering Team, as well as other related duties incidental to the nature of the work. In all aspects you will ensure technical activity is compliant with all company and external regulations, standards and codes and is signed-off by relevant Technical Authorities
You will hold a full UK driving licence and will need a broad technical background, in addition to an engineering degree qualification. You will have at least three years experience in design or project /process engineering, having CAD skills and be able to generate and develop P&ID’s and basic equipment layouts
You will be a team player able to integrate within wider matrix sales and technical teams, and will have developed skills in managing multiple projects as well as your own time.
To be successful you will need strong problem solving and design innovation skills. Also, effective influencing and communications skills, some experience of managing supplier technical relationships, and a focused and flexible approach to managing key priorities and driving successful outcomes.
